| Off the top of my head, I've read where red wasn't a color associated w/fire fighting equipment in Europe until the 50s. I believe that fire extinguishers came in dark green, often painted dunkelgelb in the field. Maybe do a search on fire extinguisher colors. I recall several threads here and other afv dgs. |
