Al -
Let the ink dry for at least 24 hours - print a small area that you can touch later to make sure it's dry.
Don't try to use an airbrush to overcoat the decals. Use Testor's GlossCote in the spray can - it won't be as thick as you think it will be. (BTW, the ink will bead up and probably never dry if you over-coat with gloss before printing. DullCote might work, but i wouldn't bet on it.)
Don't soak the decal - get it wet and let it sit out of water as long (as short) as necessary to get it to release, then put it down with a wetting agent, center it quickly, apply a softener, and leave it alone. The MicroScale system works with Testor's GolssCote, but I used SolvaSet to really get things down tight - after the decal had dried out first.
I use Adobe Illustrator software and an Epson C84 (fairly low-end printer) with quite good resolution and color fidelity. The problem, as usual, is white - you have to paint the model first or use white-based decal paper and trim carefully - not good for German outlined numbers or most Russian markings.
Good luck,
CTew
