Thanks for the all the help and kind comments guys. Michael, actually I masked that paint job. I couldn't of hand painted that complex a camoflauge pattern to save my life. Next time I paint a three tone scheme I'm going with soft edge and enamels (not to mention a less complex pattern). That masking job was a real pain. I chose the hard edge scheme for a couple of reasons. One, because I had allready finished the wheels when I discovered my acrylic paint would not spray a tight enough line no matter what tricks I used. From what I could tell even factory applied soft edge camo jobs had a pretty tight spray. Secondly it was my impression that ambush patters were generally hard edged just as you said.
Marc, the linked picture was very helpful. It made me feel a bit better about my masking errors :-)
If this model ever gets done to my satisfation and I get a better quality camera, I'll post some pictures.
