We've just moved, and I'm facing a situation that didn't arise in our previous dwelling: at what stage is it best to paint the more recent, complex kits. Looking over the instructions to the new Flak 88s and PzKpfw IVs, I'd have been tempted to spray paint almost everything on the runners and then do touchups and detail colors by brush during assembly - working in a basement with an extractor fan. Now, I don't have that luxury and will do most assembly inside during the winter where paint fumes would bother my wife and our guests.
When and where do you guys do your painting?
