Sergio.

There are probably many more knowledgeable people who are experts on Iwata airbushes but here is my opinion:

THe main difference between the B's and the C line is the nozzle size. The HP-B has the .2mm nozzle so sprays a much thinner line. For general camo on 1/35 scale armor it seems the .3mm (HP-C) works just fine. In addition as you state it holds a bit more paint. The paint cup size is probably not a huge issue. You only need a lot of paint when you are doing base coats. Even then I spray mutliple layers thinly so as long as I mix paint in a seperate container and pour into my cup as needed, there would be no problems. So I wouldn't worry about the 1.8ml versus the .9 ml.

I think when you get to the .2mm needle you are really into a brush that does a fine sprayed line situation very well but perhaps is a bit "clumsy" when spraying large areas. Thatis another reason to go with the HP-C, it is a bit more for both fine lines and inch wide spray patterns. A bit more for "general" use.

If the paint cup wasn't big enough for certain situations you could always use your VL for bigger base coat jobs.

I read alot more Iwata users using the HP-Cs than the B's. I did alot of research before I bought mine. I also heard a rumour that they may have dropped the HP-C plus but that could be a rumour. Regardless I think I made a good choice for doing 1/35 scale armor.

Hope this helps.
