I'll second Kevin's recommendation. Blacken it from the Railroad section of your hobby shop does wonders on the Friul tracks. Sometimes I double dip mine and it gives them a rusty, grungy look to them after double dipping. Then I just use some Mig pigments on them or artificial mud to make them grungier.
