Hello Grant! Looks great!!
For British camo info I highly recommend Mike Starmer's books. They are the best out there in my opinion on British camo schemes.
As a matter of fact, I was just perusing them and while I don't have them in front of me, I remember some general points:
One of the schemes was dark green over mud so I think your colors look pretty good.
Camo lines should be more horizontal than vertical (I think you are close on that one.)
Countershading, in other words, more dark areas on upper surfaces than lower surfaces and white added to areas of typical shadow (as mentioned by others)
They did mention the edges of the camo should be hard, not soft-edged. They believed to truly get a disruptive camo, the colors should not blend.
One note Mike mentioned is that most times when painted in the field, the edges of the camo stayed away from fittings, headlights, etc. This was theorized as the person painting not wanting to deal with trying to paint lines around and through all that stuff as opposed to any policy. Your model appears to comply to that.
Anyway, hope that helps! |
