Hi Mike,
Cleaning is relatively simple. I don't own an Iwata: I use a Badger. However, the procedure is quite easy and will work with just about any airbrush.
I primarily use acrylic paint. After each use, I spray some clean rubbing alcohol through the brush into a cleaning station (that's a jar type rig with a nozzle that the brush points in to). Then I flush that with clean water.
When I use enamel paint, instead of alcohol, I use acetone to clean. Then followed by clean water. Do this in a well ventilated room.
Using this procedure, I have never had to take apart the brush to clean.
