Having compared your edit with my original, I really see the changes I should make. I've always been partial to adding too much red. but using some of the guidelines here should help a lot! I've been working a lot with faces and have just lately managed to shake off most of the leathery feeling. I don't know if you know this sculpt, but it's kind of a weird one; the afv club wittmann resinfigure based on a propaganda picture. that guy had some jaws! it seems wittmann didn't have much stubble according to the picture, although i see you point as a valuable way of acheiving realism. Maybe I'll try this for my newspaper-reading vignette:)

Now my challenge is to adding the changes without destroying it all.. Thanks again, I really value the thorough advice of more skilled and experienced modellers!
