I do not like the Tamiya weathering system as the colors highlight only and seem to sit on top of the final paint - they do not sink into depressions and corners like liquids (washes) or pastels. Due to the heavy wax or oil base, if a brush is used to poke the colors into depressions, the brush quickly fouled and gummy.

Its a clever system no doubt, but I'll pass for traditional washes and pastels.
