I've had reasonable luck with an Aztek, although my brush of preference is a
Badger 200...

In general, enamels and laquers spray better than acrylics, as they break down
into a finer mist and don't clog up the brush. I have found this to be
especially true with the Azteks... that is why they have special acrylic
nozzles.
