Hi Austin & Others,
From my own experience with Tamiya acrylics I can only confirm what the previous contributors told you; at least use a minimum mix of 50% paint and 50% thinner ( Tamiya's own thinner works best with their paints...no stocks in 'Tam', just experience....)
Do some experimenting with various mix percentages before airbrushing your model(s) and remember that in case the first layer does not cover well, it is always better to give two or more well thinned layers rather than one layer with thicker paint that covers in one go.
Another -perhaps obvious- tip for you as newcomer into the marvellous airbrush scene.....clean all parts of your airbrush well, immediately after use.
Good luck and have fun
