I wouldn't worry too much about how much paint you use. As long as you are getting good results and are happy. Different people have different approaches to thinning, spraying, number of coats, etc. I used to use paint fairly thick, but when I switched to acrylics I started thinning them up to 50/50. Now I thin acrylics with laquer thinner, and I find less thinner goes a long way...
I can use a bottle and a half of Tamiya or Gunze acrylic on a large Tiger tank sized vehicle with all the wheels, surface area, etc. |
