I've purchased quite a few references on the Matilda and have purchased the
paints that I feel best match this reference material. The following books I
used as guide lines are Infantry Tank Mk.II Matilda Number 15 (Armour in Profile
Series) and New Vanguard Matilda Infantry Tank. I also have two color plates of
Matilda's from a book called Afryka 1940-41 from Wydawnictwo Books that has a 3
Color Scheme (but subsitutes the blue for Red Brown/Rust) and one that is in
full Light Stone/Desert Yellow. There is also a picture of a tri-colored
Matilda at the Bovington Tank Museum
http://www.tankmuseum.org/guidedtourdw.html The paints that I feel best match
the 3 color scheme by Model Master are:
British Gulf Armor Light Stone 2137
French Khaki 2106
Flanker Blue Gray 2132
If you would like for me to scan these color plates and email them to you I
would be more then happy too. I unfortunately haven't gotten around to modeling
this tank.
Thanks,
Shawn
