Hi Marc,
No, I have not yet used any of the Panther sets but I don't think I need to in order to give you an honest reply from one modelbuilder to another.
I have used Archer sets on two zimmerit'ed Dragon Tiger I Late, in conjunction with the Atak zimmerit set 35032.
This works out just great.
If you decide to apply your own zimmerit in whatever way, I think you should bear in mind that the thickness and structure of your own zim' will have its possible adverse effect on any kind of decals, not just those by Archer.
All I can reiterate is : excellent results with Atak on my own Tigers so must be the same on a Panther or whatever other panzers with zimmerit.
Should also be good on home made zimmerit, provided the zimmeritt is not too coarse.
