It is Light Stone or Portland Stone base with the other colors being
Slate and Silvergrey.
This is the recipe for the Caunter Scheme using Humbrol paints.
Steve Zaloga did a nice A-9 Cruiser in Boresight which had accurate
colors . Research showed the blue to be bogus.
Light Stone 61
Mix: 74+26 in ratio 8:1
In use: 1938-42 as base tone in Middle East
Description: A light very yellow sand
Portland Stone 64
Mix: 34+74 in ratio 4:3 plus slight touch 33 or 67 to add a hint of
grey.
In use: 1940-41 as base tone in Middle East.
Description: Pale sand grey
Silver Grey 28
Mix: 5 parts Humbrol 74 Linen and 2 parts Humbrol 145 Medium Grey.
In use: In Caunter pattern 1940-41

Description: Recent information confirms that this colour was NOT
blue-grey but a yellow green colour between RAF interior grey green
and Sky. I have matched the actual 1930 colour sample.
This is the official colour for use in Caunter scheme
Slate 34 a.k.a "Dark Slate"
Mix: 86:111 in ratio 6:1+touch black. 111+touch 102 fair alternative,
Fades to 111.
In use: 1940-42 as dark tone in Middle east. Standard dark tone in
Caunter.
