I find it important to finish a project, no matter what. I don't go back and re-work, re-paint, or re-weather a finished model, unless it got damaged or some such. I like having the "lineage" represented in the hopes that I can have a measurement of progress. With the access and ease of digital photogrpahy, though, that lineage can be preserved just as easily, without all the shlef space taken up by beginner-level efforts.
That being said, I do have a couple of built-up kits I use for target practice, particularly painting. I'll strip them down, and try different painting or weathering techniques on them. |
