I thought that article looked interesting at first, and the technique may be viable with practice, but I can't find a photo of a German AFV with camouflage that looks like the results shown. I don't think it's just a matter of reshaping the SP, either. I hope this works out for you and others, but I would check photos carefully first and see if the SP results come close enough to actual camouflage styles to suite your expectations.
