That's what I thought as well. There may be a couple out there but it's kinda the wrong application. It's good for Japanese armor, and some Russian stuff with hard edges.

I used it with acrylic paints and did not see any residue at all on the matte finish, and I was looking for it closely. One thing I noted is that the stuff is really a very, very thick liquid - if you leave in place at room temperature, within a half-hour you can see it has levelled out and actually "run".
