To tell you the truth I thoought they were wearing some sort of grey on grey pattern
when they first walked in. Once seated I coud see that it was one of the variations on the MARPAT(?) pattern either Desert or Urban.
Pretty interesting stuff. Mike Peplinski sent me to an informative link dealing with the development of the pattern. Funny I am a graphic designer/Illustrator and it would be interesting to find out what kind of guys were recruited to design this stuff and how exactly they went about dreaming it up, then testing and revising it. I know that, ultimately, it was all the result of careful scientific analysis... but somehow, somewher some creative mind had to get the ball rolling if only by being the one who posited the "What if?" question.
