I love Model Kasten tracks! Two things you will need to watch out for, they are very light, so you'll need to glue them to road wheels and return rollers. So you'll need to leave spots, or scrape paint.
I always use acrylic paint as I think enamel is too thick, and will jam the links before I get them on the tank. I'm lucky enough to have an airbrush so I spray (usually) Tamiya rust red acrylic overall. I then wash with very thinned acrylic dirt colour. I dry brush with enamel steel shades on the wear surfaces.
The tracks can break rather easily so if you can leave the top hull off and install after track installation you'll save yourself a lot of cussin' :-)
Enjoy them, they are as you say, pretty awesome! |
