I've never had a problem with painting them. I only paint them with Tamiya acrylics and don't apply any washes, I only dry-brush them. I also don't leave them working, rather prefer to just glue them together after they've been draped over the suspension.

The one's I've built and painted are three sets of the Pz. IV tracks, one Panther and one Tiger I. So my experience with painting the smaller ones is limited. I have some Cromwell and Lynx ones almost ready to paint.

Paul.
