| I always painted tracks seperately to the rest of the vehicle as it just seemed more logical to do. Having previously seen comments by people who paint after completing the whole model I tried painting my Tristar PZ IV with tracks assembled on the model I found this very frustrating and eventually took them off. For my style I would always paint the tracks seperately. I find that partial or whole track runs of single link tracks can be assembled easily on to the model using humbrol liquid glue (being careful not to glue them to the model) and then be taken off, painted and then stuck back on. I feel that if you want a fair amount of mud on tracks and wheels there is no problem with assembling the whole lot together. |
