I'm currently planning a similar project. I discovered some time ago a drawing, made by a moddeling club in Belgium. I controlled them against photo's and they seem pretty acurate. If you give me your email adress, I can send them to you.
For the kit, i choose the old Revell/Italeri kit Leopard1A1A1 as a base. It will need some substancial work to change the gunnery optics to the belgian A5 version (because it is very different from the german one) but nothing heavy (I think).
As the correct colours, i use the Tamiya NATO trio, which is a good match.
