For whatever reason, in most Trumpeter and Dragon kits, they use Gunze (RAF) Middlestone for German Dark Yellow. Gunze's low number Dark Yellow is not that good, so I guess they feel Middlestone is better. Gunze does have a high number Dark Yellow, but it is hard to find and might be discontinued now. So, basically for import kits calling out Gunze paints, Middlestone = German Dark Yellow

In World War II Middlestone was an RAF tropical shade, used with Dark Earth for camo on the tops of fighters. It is sort of a yellowy-tan, what you woudl basically call sand or desert yellow.
