My advise would be to dump the Tamia glosscote and buy a bottle of Future (or Johnsons Kleer, or whatever it's called in your locality). Future puts down the best gloss finish I've ever had the pleasure to spray...period.

However, one problem you may be having is the paint is drying too fast. Try adding a bit of LIQUID slow-dri, such as the Slo-Dri sold by Liquitex, or FolkArt. Really, any LIQUID acrylic retarder works here, though those seem to work the best for me. Getting LIQUID acrylic retarder is important, since there is also a GEL retarder as well (meant for heavy body acrylics used on canvas...to retard drying but not to thin the paint or loose body). It can cause a bit of a mess...
