Generally use Tamiya acrylics for airbrushing with approx 10 to 20% clear base added. A tip commented on before and does seem to help with the the flow of the paint. Normally thinned with IPA (not the UK beer)
For detail (tools etc) work normally use Humbrol as it brush paints well.
For figures (uniforms) have started to use Vallejo model colour, again
mainly for brush painting. At some time planning to try Modelair as well although I have heard that u need to be careful with thinning agents????
For undercoating I use Halfords (car) acrylic primer (grey), either straight from the can or decanted into a jar and then sprayed through airbrush (finer finish). When decanting definitely an outdoor job. |
