Hi,
I do use Humbrol Revell, Tamiya, Testors laquers and acrylics, and I do have some Gunnze Sangyo colors. I live in Sydney, Australia. Interestingly, I cannot find a formula to apropriately thin Gunze colors. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Their thinner is awful! They do no have english instructions! So far any other Gunze products I have are awesome. Same as Tamiya. It thins greatfully with a mix of Water 80%, rubbing alcohol 20% or just anything! Actually the recipe of water + alcohol was given to me by Jeff Illes, who runs Just Planes from Western Australia. He is the type of bloke who will give you cheap hints to finish a model (and he runs a business)
My favourite are Testors colors, more xpensive but work fine. Revell and Humbrol are ok, but I avoid them because of the smell. Anyways I always paint outside the flat. I wear a mask and try to avoid fumes. They are as deadly as tobacco.
I often gather 3 or 4 models to paint at a time. So I have a slow rate of production. I am currently in the verge of finishing 4 models, 2 tanks and 2 planes, and have around 10 more in different stages of assembly. My latest tank is a Su-76M from Maquette in 1/35, but I am not sure... It will require a lot of work, but it's ok, a rather unusual model.
happy modeling.

Juan
