I've tried most of them: Humbrol, Testors, Tamiya, and Gunze Sanyo. If I'm free handing a camouflage scheme it’s definitely Humbrol or Testors for me. No matter what I do, even with my Iwata air brush, I can not get nearly as tight an edge with acrylics as I can with enamels. I do agree however Humbrol smells awful. I use a paint box but you just can't keep up with the fumes Humbrol puts out. When weather permits I open up the windows and use a large fan to augment the fan on the paint box.
I use acrylics every chance I get. They're not nearly as harsh on the nose. Nevertheless I really should get a filter mask.
I own a very nice Iwata double action airbrush but don't use it much due to arthritis in my right hand and upper arm. I asked for a single action Iwata for my birthday. If I like it I'll have a very nice Iwata double action airbrush for sale at a reasonable price.
I have two Paasches that I love. They're easy on my hand and pretty much bulletproof. I use one for fine detail and the other for everything else.
