If you really want to remove the paint, the oven cleaner will work just fine. This is what you need:
kitchen gloves
plastic bag
oven cleaner
odl brushes or tooth brushes

Put some oven cleaner all over the model. Do wear the gloves as the stuff is irritating to the skin!!!! Then put the model in the plastic bag, and seal it. Wait for one or two days. Most paint will have come off, otherwise use the old brushes to remove the rest.
Wash the model off in water with a both washing liquid (you know, the stuff used for dish washing).
