I've been using an Aztek A470 for years now and have to admit that either I'm doing something wrong or that this is the wrong airbrush to use for doing small scale armor with acrylic paints. I just can't get the fine detail I want with it, even using the fine tip high flow nozzel. I get good results, but usually not great. The paint I use is either Model Master or Tamiya acrylics.
Is my problem that I'm not using an Aztek compressor with it (can't use a water trap on it becaue the Aztek has one built into the compressor and the funky hose you need for an Aztek brush doesn't allow you to put on on it) or something more...insidious? Or am I just a boob that hasn't figured out how to get the best results out of this brush after 6 years of using it?
Please...discuss.
Thanks,
John L. Adamek |
