Hi Rick,
Im in the middle of finishing up Trumpeter's fantastic 1/16 T-34 85 with full interior, and had to do a lot of research to help with my advanced modelling syndrome. Based on several different photos from differtvehicles, the base color was bare metal. The crank case tops would be painted oxide red if you like a littel color, but bare metal overall would be totally accurate. The exhause pipes above the engine could be pained light blue, wiring was black, piping was dark green. There is a fantastic build of this kit and lots of interior photos of actual T-34s on Tanxheaven.com, an excellent reference site for virtually any vehicle. hope this helps,
Dave Clarke |
