| Eric, when I read your post it was accompanied by the sound of my palm hitting my forehead. Sometimes I miss the forrest for the trees. Every since I started using washes I have had the trouble of them spreading or wicking out too much. I am sure this is caused by the dull coat I put on them, which gives millions of little canyons for the wash to run in. My only question is, after your all done with the washes, I assume you then hit it with a coat of flat. Does this completely hide the gloss? If its one thing I hate in a AFV its a glossy surface. I use oil/turpenoid washes. If you use the same, what do you use for your gloss? Would future work? When I have used it in the past it seems to put on a pretty thick coat. Thick enough and you could start to loose some of the fine detail, like weld detail or the like. |
