Hi Edward,
In my opinion & experience, the best airbrushes I have ever used are Iwata. Be warned, they are expensive, but you will get the quality & reliability you are paying for. Most of the range are double-action (once you get used to them, you won't need a single-action at all) & all have metal parts throughout, which makes them easy to strip & clean & user-friendly for all types of paint.
I use an HP-CS for general spraying, & a Custom Micron CM-B for fineline & camo work. Changing colours is easy with them, & using Tamiya acrylics I can get quite a few jobs done in one session. I have tried Badger & Aztek, I still keep a Badger Anthem in case something goes wrong with one of the Iwatas, but gave up on Aztek because the triggers kept breaking.
Don't be scared off by Iwata prices, if you look around on eBay they do turn up - I bought my Custom Micron on eBay for half the RRP (bargain IMHO).
By the way, I have no affiliation with Iwata!
HTH,
Chris. |
