I use the portable Tamiya Airbrush. I have had no problems airbrushing Vallejo 50/50 mix with distilled water. Their model air is good too mixed with a few drops of model air thinner. It just took a little bit of practise to get there. I find that the paint dries reasonably quickly.
Just my expierience.
