I have the Emil awaiting paints, with panzer grey I have found the it is better to add a little dark blue to the grey (adds some tonality) and a lightening colour,I have used sand and light grey in the past (Tamiya acrilics), as Panzer grey sprayed or painted from the pot will be too dark. There have been a number of article on scale colour, but I think the basic idea is that you need to lighten the base colour for a more scale effect.
