Subject:  New source in US for Iwata airbrushesList thread.

Hello All,
I have today returned to the UK after a 2.5 week holiday in Florida. Whilst in Orlando I discovered a new source for Iwata airbrushes & compressors, which was a complete surprise as it was in a location I would never have expected to find these items.
My wife is very much into makeup, & she favours a brand known as MAC. Certain areas in the USA (& possibly Canada too) have MAC Pro Shops where the products are sold. One of these is located in the Mall at Millenia (junction I-4 & Conroy Road) in Orlando, whilst there I noticed one of the Iwatas set up with compressor for spraying liquid makeup, nail polish etc. After making enquiries I discovered that MAC are a US import agent for Iwata products, & because they train all their makeup artists using Iwatas & recommend them, Iwata give them a substantial discount which they pass on to the customer.
I was able to pick up an Eclipse HP-CS for $140 including tax, a very reasonable deal when you consider that the same airbrush in UK costs much more (not far short of £200 I believe). MAC also stocked the Sprint Jet compressor & attachments too, & told me that if I had wanted the compressor too they would have cut me a deal on that & the airbrush together - think of the possibilities there!
The full range of Iwata products can be ordered through MAC, the staff I spoke to there were very knowledgeable regarding the product & its use.I'm passing this info on because there may be some of you out there who are looking for Iwata products (I wouldn't use any other airbrush now), but don't know where to look for them. This was a chance discovery that worked out well for me, but remember it must be a MAC Pro Shop where you look. The average MAC counter in your local department store may not have access to these items. Happy hunting!

All the best,
Chris Oldfield.
