It was a Tom Hanks narrated special on one of the major US networks a
few months ago (December??). It was two hours of W.W. II combat
footage, described by the photographers that took it in the first
place. Very interesting. Lots of complete sequences that you usually
only see snippits or stills from - like the Panther/Pershing battle.
Sequences range from Pearl Harbor to Okinawa. Much of the Pacific
footage is in color, too. |
