Model Master offers an Israeli Sand Gray. Tanks in the 1960's were finished in a warm desert tan, but shortly before the 1973 war, the color was changed to a dingy gray-green, and it has become progressively darker over the years. A alternate home brew mix recommended by an Isaraeli vet I knew is 50-50 US Armor Sand and US Olive Drab in the Model Master range.
The final color of your tank will depend more on how dusty it is, rather than the color of the underlying paint, so you needn't sweat exact shades. |
