Hello Edward,
After several disappointments with Verlinden aftermarket engine sets I opted for Jaguar's engine for my M20, which is the M8 without the turret and a .50 ring instead but the same vehicle otherwise.
I stress this is purely personal and it is possible that other TL friends have other opinions but I decided not to bother with the Jaguar engine set either.
One of the main reasons for that was that the inside of the compartment was pretty basic but not that bad (no more, no less) but quite a lot of work has to be done on and around the open hatches ie the Tamiya parts.
I went for a closed engine and concentrated on the interior, of which a lot can be seen, especially if you leave the two forward hatches open.
Two sets for the M8 -but also useable for M20- are excellent, Eduard's 35200 is very good and is advertized for both M8 and M20; Aber's 35083 for M20 is even more extensive, as usual.
Both sets highly recommended; up to you how 'deep' you like to go.
Happy Modelling
