I bought a compressor several years ago from Wal-Mart for about $100. I thin it's a Campbell Hausfeld. It came with a pressure guage/contral and I added a water trap. It has run great since I got it except one time the control board for the pump burned out. I called C-H and they sent me a new board overnight - no questions asked. it took 20 minutes to hook it up and away i went.
It's a little noisy when the pump cuts on, but no more so that any power tool. I really like the durability and ruggedness of that compressor.
Remember that the compressors at Wal-mart and such are built to be used and i was very impressed by their customer service when i had to use it. I just can't see spending $300-$400 on a compressor when $100 will get you one that performs yoemans work. |
