Hello David and All Others,

In 1988 I bought my Sil-Air Condor compressor.
It came with a combined unit for pressure regulation/drainable moisture trap.
In the box also was an extra bottle of oil, to be used to top up the oil level if needed.
Sofar I have topped up the oil once about 5 years ago when it was just a tad below the low level mark.

I use my Sil-Air intensively, at least 4-5 times a week.
Sofar it has run perfectly and has never let me down.
At the time I bought this compressor it cost me around US$ 250.
Which I consider a fair price for an item that has run trouble free for so many years of use.
As Adam says, these compressors run absolutely noise free.

In short, anyone is free to experiment with whatever kind of compressor suits his/her fancy but my recommendation is that when it comes to airbrushing models only it is advisable to stick to the types of compressors that are used for (graphic) studio purposes.
I.M.H.O. these compressors are the best as far as reliability, value for money and quality is concerned.

H.T.H. and Happy Modelling
