Thanks for the response.
I use lacquer thinner when thinning the Dullcote but to a 60 or 70 percent thinner to paint ratio. I sprayed a few coats over the Vallejo Matte and it didn't reduce the sheen very much.
I was surprised to find that the Valleo Matte dried with a sheen. I sprayed several coats on the test model, thinning it with the Vallejo Model Air thinner.
I haven't used Dullcote in a few years but have been using the Tamiya Clear with the flat base added instead.
The Dullcote I have is probably 4 or 5 years old. I looked at the finish again and found tiny white specs in the areas I sprayed it. It may have gone bad.
I will order the Gunze Sangyo Flat and some more Dullcote.
What do think about the Testors Model Master Acrylic flat, as that is readily available as well?
That issue of Military Modeler Magazine you told me about has not yet arrived. I put that project on hold until it does.
