how about spray paint at the hardware store or walmart??
I've been useing krylon olive drab and walmart spray paints
for most of my major paint jobs. The olive drab works well I think for us army olive drab color for ww2 and cold war series as well. The khaki comes in close for the german dark yellow for the primary base coat. I usually give the entire kit a base coat of grey primer and then paint accordingly. the red primer (again walmart) works great on the tracks as well as krylon brown. Both OD and Brown are or,I should say is what we used when we needed something painted pretty darn quick when I was in the army. I've yet to aquire a airbrush system but in the process of so, for the time being, Im just KISSing it (keeping it simple, stupid)
