thanks guys,
I can't tell exactly what alchohol its is i am using, except that the oevrcounter guy kept saying its 'industrial grade'. my first reaction was that it should mix and dissolve acrylics better, but i coulkd be wrong there. Guess I'll stick to my usual methylated 'rubbing' alchohol sort found in pharmacies.
of course the humidity level would wreak havoc too.
What i did this morning was, i got myself a whole new set of panzer colors by tamiya, and since they couldn't confirm if they are fresh or newly arrived paints, i'll just take thier word for it 'its new!'
will update you guys if i get the desired results
i usually do not use primers on my Afv models, but i do apply them on only on vinyl tracks.
so my usual staple are:
a) rubbing alchohol ( from pharmacies )
b) tamiya acrylics ( occasionaly mixed with Gunze's )
c) no primer (unless vinyl tracks )
