You may want to consider this.
http://www.phoenix-paints.co.uk/superstrip.asp
I have not used it myself.
I tried Mr Muscle on some Games Workshop figures for my daughter to repaint and it didn't really work well. Previous to that I tried, as suggested in GW shop using Dettol Cleaner (green fluid). This is available in supermarkets and again the results were variable. Good on the metal ones.
On both occasions I let them soak well and scrubbed with a toothbrush, but still ended up picking away with a scalpel.
On reflection the time I spent and money I'd been better getting new figures.
If I need to strip plastic again I'm going to give Superstrip a go provided the model isn't just cheaper/easier to replace with a new one.
