| Modern Periscopes have an antilaser coating which shifts from blue to red depending on the angle you're looking from. There are a few ways to do this, you can't paint the lens black then coat half with clear red and half blue. Use something like baremetal foil, spray with the clear colour of your choice and apply. Use pieces of shiny confetti cut to size (the editor in MMI did this on a LAV-25 recently and it looks best IMHO) But most of the Periscopes on the Stryker show up orange in a let of photos, so you can always just clear coat that way.... |
