You could try this: (only an idea)

- paint the vehicle in off white, fe white with light grey or with khaki added
- weather according to the method Steve Zaloga used in his M4A2 and M2 halftrack articles for MilMod. wash with a light sand/ dust colored wash, lightly (!) drybush with a darker color, to simulate scuffed paint.

As I stated, I haven't tried this myself yet.
