Those in the north of Tunisia (1st Army) where "green". I wonder about this however. On some photographs, particularly those in GP, there is evidence of a faint demarcation line between two colours. Furthermore Duncan Crow states "Crusader IIIs of 6th armoured operating in Tunisia retained their UK camouflage". So this could be any number of schemes.

There is a colour photograph of a Crusader in England finished in an overall brown with a darker brown. This is a possibility.

Another possibility is a combination of two greens, maybe mid. and dark bronze greens.

These are just my ideas. If I were to build a Crusader in Tunisia I'd finish it in a two bronze green scheme.

Paul.
