Like a non-english speaker (amateur speaker....) I agree that is more easy and more useful a standard terminology for colors, and must be in english.
For many of us (including CHinese people, japanese, french or any non english lenaguage country) is easier to learn just one name and not many in different lenguages, and english is the international lenguage without doubt.
And now a funny history from me:
When I was young and I bought my frist Tamiya colors, all of these jars showed the anmes in english. I memoriced all these names since the begining and everything was easy because also humbrol used similar names.
But not to much time ago, the Spanish distributor decided to change the labes in tamiya jars adding SPANISH lenguage names for all colors.
When I went to my model shop to buy new color after the change, I was completly shock because was impossible to me find my usual colors as BUFF, HULL RED or FLAT EARTH.
I unknew the meaning of BUFF or HULL RED in spanish, but to me was very easy to identify each color with each name. I never memoriced the number references (XF-23, etc...) so....after see spanish names I was frustated. To me, BUF will be forever BUFF and not "ANTE" (stupid spanish name for this color under my opinion)
I hope you can understand my point of view...because even if I love my lenguage, I use almost in exclusive the english lenguage for all names or effects and sometimes is difficult to find spanish names for some technics or actions with the same EFECTIVITY!!!
